Itineraries

There are an infinite number of itineraries available to you, depending on where you want to go, the duration of the charter, and your personal requirements. At Principal Power we will tailor the charter to suit your needs. Below are a few examples of where you could go during your event:

Poole to Yarmouth

09.30am Guests arrive at your chosen starting point, and are met by your Skipper. On board will be a selection of pastries and beverages (or buck’s fizz if you prefer!) to welcome you.

Your skipper will give a safety briefing and summary of the day ahead before you leave the berth.
10.30am Depart your berth and take a leisurely cruise through Poole Harbour, giving your guests a chance to admire one of the largest natural harbours in the world.

Once out in the bay, the boat will be brought up to pace, providing your guests with the experience of the thrill and excitement of a performance powerboat cutting through the water at high speed.

The cruise will take you past the sandy beaches of Sandbanks, Bournemouth and Christchurch, before entering the Solent via Hurst castle.
12.30pm Arrive at Yarmouth and take the water taxi ashore to a restaurant or pub of your choice for lunch. Enjoy dining on the waterfront, looking down at the motor yacht.
2.00pm Re-join the boat and head along the coast of the Isle of Wight towards Alum Bay – famous for its coloured sands. Drop anchor and enjoy a glass of wine before heading back out of the Solent and across Poole Bay.
5.00pm After an exhilarating return journey via Old Harry Rocks and the beaches of Studland Bay, guests disembark in Poole.
Please note: all charters are weather-dependant.

Poole to Weymouth:

The day will begin as above, until you leave Poole Harbour and head in the other direction down the coast.

On leaving the harbour you will head past the award winning beach of Studland Bay and Old Harry Rocks, passing Swanage Bay and continuing west taking in the overwhelming scenery of the world famous Jurassic Coast.

12.30pm Leave the boat in Weymouth and head to a restaurant of your choice for lunch ashore. You’ll also have the chance to explore the town, which will be host to the sailing in the 2012 Olympics.
2.00pm After a leisurely lunch, guests rejoin the vessel and head out of the Weymouth, turning back east to view the famous Durdle Door – a stunning archway carved into the rock, and the beautiful Lulworth Cove.

The boat will then head back along the coast, stopping in either Swanage Bay or Studland for a quiet drink on board.
5.00pm Disembark back in Poole
Please note: all charters are weather-dependant

Poole to Beaulieu:

Again the morning will take the same form as above. After leaving Poole Harbour you will head east past Bournemouth and Christchurch, before entering the Solent via Hurst Castle.

You will then head towards Lymington and along the coast to the entrance of the Beaulieu River. A leisurely cruise up the river will give your guests the chance to enjoy a pre-lunch drink on board.
12.30pm Step ashore and head to Bucklers Hard to enjoy a magnificent lunch at the Master Builders.
2.00pm After your lunch, rejoin the vessel and head back down the Beaulieu River and across towards Alum Bay, taking in the sights of the coast of the Isle of Wight before heading back to Poole.
5.00pm After an exhilarating return journey, guests disembark in Poole.
